PLACES TO VISIT IN THE KUFRI
Kufri is a resort hill station in the district of Shimla, india.
It is located 20km from the state capital shimla on the National highway No.22.
On the Kufri Avenue, the main throughfare, boutiques and restaurants mix with Indian-style hotels and souvenir shops are to look for during a visit.
The highest point in the surrounding region, Kufri has a Himalyan wildlife zoo which hosts rare antelopes, felines and birds including the Himalyan monal.
At over 2,600m altitude, the Himalayan Nature Park is located amidst 90 hectares of temperate vegetation that forms natural habitual for many wild animals of the Himalayas.
YAK AND HORSE
yaks are large, hairy animals who live on high elevations from 200m up to the treeline above 5000m. there is a small population of wild yalks still living in India
13km from the state capital of Shimla. The zoo is home to rare Antelopes, different species of felines, deer, bears, snow leopards,s and birds.
One of the highest points in Kufri, mahasu peak offers breathtaking views of Badrinath and Kedarnath ranges.
